My sister gifted me 2 years ago a box set of the Bee Gees and I really did not know what I should do with it. I mean – come on… the Bee Gees. But well – I listened to it and it kind of grew to me. And all of a sudden from what I thought it was really corny it became “cool music” to me. I am still not a huge fan but I always find myself humming a Bee Gees tune when I do something like taking pictures inworld or working on my computer or whatever.
Why am I telling you this? Well I found this FABULOUS male jump suit at NYU on the Vintage Fair and the first image that popped into my mind was Barry Gibb. Then I went to the new Mens Dept. and found the Crow Skin from Nivaro which has 3 body hair options (no body hair, line hair and full hair aka Disco) and things came together naturally. “Well, you can tell by the way I use my walk I’m a womans man, no time to talk”. Step aside Tony Manero – here comes Nestor Travolta.
The shoes are a find at DUH! and the mirror balls are an old huntgift from a storehunt at Glitterati. But nevertheless: Glitterati has reworked the mirrorball poses and you can get them in the shop now as special marketplace promotion. So bring a little Saturday Night Life in your virtual existence. It is vintage, it is cool – the ladies will love you.

Ok guys: I know it is hard to accept, but in male clothing there are more colors then black, blue and white (and all tones inbetween). Color is fun and color is style. And therefor the Men Only Hunt 2 – which has the theme “United Colors of Men” – hopefully convinces you to be brave and bold and ad some more tones to your wardrobe. Today I want to introduce you to “lime”. Lime is something between green and yellow and looks fresh, summerish and definitely stylish.
The fun thing: Lime is a fairly young color. According to wikipedia the first use of the word “lime” to describe a color was 1890 and for a color that is pretty late. As you can certainly tell its name comes from the citrus-fruit limes. Color nerds differ between many shades of lime like electric lime (which is quite popular in psychedelic art), french lime and of course the exact definition of the web-color lime. Todays look goes more in the electric lime direction and – if I may say so – it is very disco. The mesh jeans are the gift from n-creation and comes in 3 different sizes. The tee with the quote “without music I am lifeless” comes from ABD. And talking about music: The fabulous headphones and also the finger tapes come once again from :.envious.: and are part of a complete outfit you can get for free, if you do the MOH2 hunt. The lime mesh eyes are the gift from Mayfly and the texturing on these eyes is extremely pretty.
To keep a long story short: color is not the enemy of a dudes wardrobe. Embrace color and for crying out loud: go hunting! You can not get more and better male items for free right now. And many of them are mesh. So what are you waiting for? See you there \o/

Only a few hours left til Culture Shock opens. And time for me to show some more stuff for men from the event. First of all this wonderful prob from Sparrowtree Studios. It is very disco, very Studio 54 and all kinds of fabulous. The 9 poses are pretty unisex, and are easy to adjust. You can also change the color of the lights by one click. It is a brilliant idea for fun pictures as well as for fancy model shots. I strongly recommend this one.
The skin I am in is also from Culture Shock. The Antonio skin from AKERUKA has a very muscular definition and an appealing shading on the face. It comes with eyeliner and hairbase. So if you think about a change check out this skin.
[Lazybum] offer these Tropical Square Cut Briefs as donation item for Medicins Sans Frontieres (Doctors without Borders). It comes with optional bulge and drawstrings. One word about the bulge: [Lazybum] did a pretty amazing texture job here. It is hard to see a crossing from the prim bulge to the texture. I also like that the bulge is not oversized but very realistic.
And now please take a closer look on this marvellous necklace. Like nearly everything from FINESMITH JEWELRY it is a piece of art. It is raw and very tribal and I especially love the idea that it works from the front and from the back with the extension. Again a great idea and a proof for the overboarding creativity you can expect from the Culture Shock designers.
