50 Styles of Blue
Happy Humpday to all of you !
Today I found a little time to blog, and not fighting with damn graphic-drivers.
So, I use this chance to show you some of the goodies you can find at the currently running Swimming Pool Blue Hunt, organised by Monochrome Hunts. In this Hunt every Huntgift costs you 5L$ – but you find all the items, with hints and SLurls to the shops displayed on the hintpage for the Swimming Pool Blue Hunt. Hope you enjoy this Hunt as much as I have done before.
Let us start with the finds, I want to show you in todays blogpost: ready for new interior? The this great couch from MM(home). The sofa comes prefilled with 8 sitting animations -for two avatars- and can become adjusted by menu. With only 12 Prims, it is not to primmy so it should fit into your home!
My todays look is combined from YoPulga and 22769 ~ casual couture.
Let us start with the unique top. As you can see, one arm is covered and the other not. This gives you an intresting shape, and it fits to a lot of situations where you can wear your own and creative look. The top comes in mesh female standard sizing.
The pants I’m wearing are from 22769, yes I was searching for the huntgift and ended up shopping there (again – *sigh*). But, thank god I found out after finding the blue glowing palette, that they give away in the Swimming Pool Hunt my trousers in a lightblue color. But, that didn’t match to my todays look so I choose to wear the black one, wich is available from different colors they offer for just 130L$.
My shoes are from SLink and available on Vintage Fair 2012. I have blogged another color option already here, so please refer to that blogpost for more information.
The art you see on my wall today is also a gift from the Swimming Pool Blue Hunt. This great piece can be found at SFW Industries. This grouped photoframe is mesh and only 1 in LandImpact. The images shown in the frames are from the underwater photographer Elena Kalis.
Now it’s time for small sidenote: you see the great pink lipstick I wear in the pictures? It’s a new groupgift from Curvy Silhouettes by Xanthe and her lovley inworld store CS-Shapes by Xanthe Audeburgh. You know Xanthe she loves to surprise their groupmembers, and while I was taking pictures she sent it out. Thank you!

Individualism
The one thing that makes the Mens Dept. truly special is the fact that you not only can get high quality clothing for men there. It is a big part and this also is absolutely appreciated. Next to the Mens Dept. there is no other event for guys that shows brilliant state of the art designs in menfashion on the grid. Nearly every piece is mesh – and that speaks loud. And for the non-mesh-clothing: they are extremely well done and by far outstanding.
I absolutely love about the Mens Dept. that you also can get other stuff there. Like furniture, decorations and even buildings – all with men in mind. Look at the Henrik Bench from Cheeky Pea. It is a typical Locker Room bench with 6 single and 3 couple poses/animations. It is lovely in its straightforward design. The Haywood Pipe Shelf from PILOT is one of the most brilliant ideas for a piece of furniture ever and I strongly recommend everyone to get a copy. Not only that the idea is fantastic – it is also extremely rich on details as you can see on the connector and the socket, but also on the lamp and the books. You even can turn the light on and off by mouseclick. The potted plants are from the Midnight Mania at Lithium, the vase with daisies are a gift from Designer Prims (you can get it at their landingpoint) and the artwork is – again – from my number one art provider The Gallery Gift Shop.
And now let’s go back to the clothing: 22769 ~ casual couture again set a high mark on quality mesh clothing. The chinos and the poloshirt is not only a perfect casual combination – they are also extremely well done and textured. The “behaviour” of the mesh is very natural and so is the folding on the textures. This definitely shows me that mesh never fails to surprise me. I also love the fact that 22769 offers – again – three different styles of chinos and three different styles of poloshirts at the Mens Dept. And also I really adore the mint color on the poloshirt which gives it something very summerish.
As backdrop I used the wonderful mesh skybox from Designer Prims I blogged about yesterday.

Cheesecake
Weekend boys and girls – and even better: A new exhibition in the Gallery Gift Shop. And like always you find also this time some wonderful and quirky items there. The Gallery Gift Shop is now in its 12th round – that means: end of this new exhibition the art and sale fair is one year old! Not bad for secondlife where you can literally watch sales events come and go.
Today I am wearing the contribution from 22769 ~ casual couture for the GGS. Some mesh slim cut chefron jeans and a special edition of the mesh open shirt and tee combination. The matching glasses come from {Kiro} and are also a find at the GGS.
I am having a little pre-celebration for the 1 year anniversary of the Gallery Gift Shop with some home made cheesecake. The cheesecake comes from +9 who finally have an inworld store with neat little things. You definitely should check this store out if you need something like sushi plates, a watermelon bowl, cute sandals or hats – it is a bit of everything and very japanese (I guess) but adorable. And – the cheesecake i.e. is completely free.
The art in the background is one of my favorite pieces of Gabrielle Swindlehurst who is also a contributor at the Gallery Gift Shop. She provides astonishing art from exhibition to exhibition and it is also not that pricy. If you are looking for something decorative for your home – you MUST go to the Gallery Gift Shop because it is all there. Finally the furniture comes from Designer Prims. The carpet has 14 different textures on touch – you can change it whatever matches your room best. The sofas have splendid reasonable animations which made me giggle when I tested them – and you even can change the textures of the pillows and the sofas.
