Hello Sunday! In todays post I will focus on enviroment and stuff that make our virtual lifes comfi and give us a warm and fuzzy feeling inside. Home, sweet home. When I browsed some flickr streams I found an adorable little house as groupgift from a shop I have never heard about – which is not that hard since SL is so big. Sweet Harmony – or short [SH] – give away this way cute little home to their group members. And it is all kind of awesome. I will show you details shortly.
But talking about groupgifts: Behind me is the fabulous Teardrop Bed from Trompe Loeil. And – you guess it already – it is a gift to the subscriber group of Trompe Loeil. It has 4 animations (3 sleeping and one sitting) which are pretty much unisex. I already mentioned the little plants I got from the Lucky Board at Lithium. And again it is a good idea to join this group also, because Lithium has a second Lucky Board that changes every 5 minutes (instead of 30 minutes like the “regular” one).
The painting behind me is from the new Gallery Gift Shop. Again it is from Gabrielle Swindlehurst and it is called “Mountains Of The Moon”. There is one thing about living in second life that always puzzeled me: people seem to spend so much effort for finding the fitting furniture and skyboxes but seem to forget about art. And in my opinion some stunning piece of art makes some plain four walls something like a home. So having that in mind you simply have to go to the Gallery Gift Shop. First you find stunning artworks there and second the pieces are definitely not overpriced – and they also change with every rotation. Just like the other items you can find there.
One word about the outfit I am wearing today: The loose shirt is from NYU and it has absolutely convincing folds and looks just too real to me. The bermuda shorts are from the Mens Dept. – and guys HURRY UP! The August round is closing shortly. The shorts are from 22769 and I especially like the realism and the texturing of those.
But coming back to the house as promised above. You see the pop art painting in my back? Yes – this wall art is part of the whole house – and it gives the whole building such a nice and joyful contrast, especially with the red wall and the curtains which are also a part of the house. The texturing is more then reasonable and there are a billion reasons why you should get this group gift – for me it was definitely when I saw the pop art faces.
The lights above me are from CIRCA and are usually outdoor dandelion lights – but well… for me they work indoor also. The dandelion lights come in 4 sizes from S to XL and they are copy. Shown here is size M. And the chair is also from Trompe Loeil and is the gift in the Homestuff Hunt.
And some final words on the scenery: it is again from Garden Of Dreams. The dreamscene “The Field” is probably the most functionable skydome for people who are just looking for some place to live. Because it basically is – a field. You can do it like I did and put a house inside and you have the perfect enviroment that will definitely stun all your friends. And since the dreamscenes from Garden Of Dreams are also as permanent skyboxes in the package you simply have no reason to live in dull four walls with nothing outside.

My sister gifted me 2 years ago a box set of the Bee Gees and I really did not know what I should do with it. I mean – come on… the Bee Gees. But well – I listened to it and it kind of grew to me. And all of a sudden from what I thought it was really corny it became “cool music” to me. I am still not a huge fan but I always find myself humming a Bee Gees tune when I do something like taking pictures inworld or working on my computer or whatever.
Why am I telling you this? Well I found this FABULOUS male jump suit at NYU on the Vintage Fair and the first image that popped into my mind was Barry Gibb. Then I went to the new Mens Dept. and found the Crow Skin from Nivaro which has 3 body hair options (no body hair, line hair and full hair aka Disco) and things came together naturally. “Well, you can tell by the way I use my walk I’m a womans man, no time to talk”. Step aside Tony Manero – here comes Nestor Travolta.
The shoes are a find at DUH! and the mirror balls are an old huntgift from a storehunt at Glitterati. But nevertheless: Glitterati has reworked the mirrorball poses and you can get them in the shop now as special marketplace promotion. So bring a little Saturday Night Life in your virtual existence. It is vintage, it is cool – the ladies will love you.

this time, the weapons of a women saved my life. You know, sometimes you had to use hard measures to complete a job. But this time it was a sucessful one … if you ignore the damage the exploding has done.
But, now put the stress aside, and have a look at this fabulous dress I’m wearing today. It’s the wonderful NYU – Cotton Halter Dress, you can find at the new collection at faMESHed. This awesome dress not only comes in mesh standard sizing, you can also pick your favorite colour out of the wide range displayed at the venue. As always with mesh items, I recommend to try a demo for fitting purposes.
The bag I’m using to keep all the secret data home with me is available in the NYU Mainstore. Nestor has already blogged the Pastel Brushed Leather Bag before. But I want to tell you also something about this cute accessory: The Pastel Brushed Leather Bag comes in different wearing options (with and without holding animation) for just 320L$ (and of course also available in different colors and as fatpack). So if you haven’t visited NYU – Minimal High Fashion Couture yet .. what are you waiting for?
I see, that my contactman is arriving and I better get the data over to him. And while I close this mission, I want to give you all the details of my todays look.

The Gallery Gift Shop turns one – and like Mondra already told you there is a hunt going on on the Gallery Gift Shop Ground. And this is one of the cutest ideas ever. While you are hunting for picture frames you not only get the gifts from the merchants – you also get the frames. And most merchants have put their portrait in the frames to personalize it. This gave me the possibility to make my own Gallery Gift Shop Gallery with the artists and merchants from the Gallery Gift Shop.
Todays look also comes from The Gallery Gift Shop – and matching the anniversary theme 22769 ~ casual couture offer the “champaign supernova” mesh outfit containing the longsleeve and the champaign chinos. The longsleeve and the chinos can become worn seperately of course. The tux leather loafers are from NYU and the scarf comes from Tee*fy.
I took the pictures in the abiss mesh studio apartement – alas I altered a few things like the art provided with the prefab. I replaced it with the “Hallucinatio botanicus” painting from Gabrielle Swindlehurst, who is a Gallery Gift Shop artist from day one of the outstanding sales event.
If you have not yet – you simply must pay the Gallery Gift Shop a visit. It is brand new – a complete new build and enviroment which is a mishmash between an art gallery, a park, a shop and a hangout – very cute and adorably done.

I always try to be in time – in fact I start to panik when I realize that I can not make it to a fix set date. Well that is part of my personality I guess – and this morning my worst nightmare happened: the alarm clock ran out of power so I slept in. Big time! So well – hurry up, putting clothes on, brushing teeth and out of my appartement. I had a strange feeling when I was speeding with my bike to University but noticed hours later that I put my boxers on the other way around… well… one of these days…
Thank god this can not happen in second life. And especially not with mesh clothing. One click and it matches perfectly. Next to teleports this definitely would be a real life worthy invention. For todays look again I took parts from the Mens Dept. The beige loose pants are from [Sheep Door] and the black polo shirt is from 22769 ~ casual couture. And this is something that I do like about standard sizing. Even tho both clothings come from different designers you can combine them without any effort. Just the right thing for lazy guys like me.
I spiced the look up with the wonderful bag from NYU and the star and skull bangles from :sey.
