It is funny – in the current Mens Dept. you can find items from different designers that follow one vibe. This time it definitely is skating. But let us start at the beginning: I wanted to go with a complete different look and therefor I purchased the Pilot Cardigan from <HVK> – that is obviously not shown here because <HVK> have a special kind of “shoppingbag” for their items which is the skateboard with the pose you can see above. And I have had a good laugh when I saw this and I somewhat wanted to create a look around this one. And for the cardigan – I will feature the knit from <HVK> in a further post for sure, because it is fabulous.
The denims with the wrapped around shirt are from !gO! and I really love the look of them. Also the shirt moves of course with your walk and shows once again the creativity of designers with mesh. The bicolor v-neck comes from [LV]SOLIDe and comes in 4 different styles and of course, like the pants from !gO!, in mesh male standard sizing.
The super curly hair is from [IRUCO] and is their latest release. Definitely a must if you are not going for the usual haircut in secondlife. The fantastic necklace comes from KOSH. The “Adain Necklace” can be found in the Mens Dept. in five different styles (black, chopper, silver, gold and shown here: brass) and this time you also can find the matching rings at the Mens Dept. I especially love of course the flawless texturing and the brilliant crafting of the necklace which is with every KOSH item I saw. Also you get not only the male version but also the female version and both options are also included with the chest- and spine attachment points. My eyes are from Poetic Colors and have been an item in a previous cycle of the Mens Dept.
List of stuff:

I love autumn – or let’s precise it: I love the colors in autumn and how the nature changes – oh and I definitely love autumn food. What I do not like that much in autumn is indeed the weather and the chill in the air. You know – when you go out you are never dressed right. Either way too warm, or you freeze your ass off.
Autumn in secondlife is kind of special because it mainly is the, how I call it, romantic side of autumn. Like pumpkins and fallen leafes and thanksgiving and all that wonderful stuff. And there is absolutely nothing wrong with that because it displays exactly that what people love about autumn. And when it comes to clothing you are never dressed wrong (weatherwise) in SL.
Nevertheless: Autumn hit the Mens Dept hard. I already showed you yesterday the Dufflecoat. Today it is the Parka from 22769 ~ casual couture. Also the parka is rigged mesh and it has mindblowing details like buttons and the wonderful hood with the orange lining. It just looks so real with all the folds and wrinkles. You will find the parka in four different colors in the new Mens Dept (opening on October 5th): black (shown here), white, green and blue.
And also from the Mens Dept are the Painter Pants from [Sheep Door]. I love the cut of those and also the folding is quite natural. Definitely a keeper if you are bored by your blue jeans. The Painter Pants are available in black and beige, and also in red, green and yellow check pattern.
Autumn also arrived at [CIRCA]. The “Time for Harvest” Fall Wheelbarrow is a wonderful prob and decoration for your autumn garden. Filled with all kinds of pumpkins it also includes this supercute pose shown above. The Wheelbarrow can be found at the Designer Warehouse and you better hurry up because the current cycle closes today! The vintage harvest banquet in the background is also from [CIRCA] and it is way lovely – perfect for having a nice dinner with friends under an autum theme.
Oh and in case you wonder where I took todays pictures: it is again a wonderful skybox, or better said dreamscene, from Garden Of Dreams. The cabin comes in an autumn and in a winter version. So it is 2 skyboxes in one – and it is way lovely!
List of stuff:
Table: CIRCA – Vintage Harvest Banquet
Dreamscene: Garden of Dreams – The Cabin
“Dark the other side is…”
Sometimes it is big fun talking to a designer. The new rotation of The Gallery Gift Shop starts today and like always 22769 ~ casual couture offer a neat mesh outfits for the lads (well – there is one for the ladies also, but I will not shave my legs for that one – I better leave it to Mondra). The theme of both outfits is “Floating Sunrise” and indeed the colors are kind of bright and lovely and the clothing – especially these fabulous silk flared pants – float around your avatar. And then I ran into Paco Pooley from 22769 and we had a lil chat. And he mentioned that somehow the outfits remind him of a Bollywood remake of Star Wars – and well: the seed was sown in my head.
I remembered that HISpose released a few days ago a brilliant geeky pose as groupgift – and the pose includes a light saber! And well – everything was set and here we go: surrender no more the – hum – bright lord of the sith Darth Farshore. I could rave for hours about the lucky coincidences, the brilliant making of the clothing and the pose and the wonderful enviroment – but fact is: the outfit from 22769 at the Gallery Gift Shop is all kinds of awesome (and also can be worn seperately) and the supergeek pose from HISpose is one thing every boy has to have in his inventory. Oh and talking about the pose: You see it in the last pic in front of the credits. Nothing beats a good smoke after slaugthering some persky jedi knights…
List of stuff:
Hair: [iruco] hair27 (black)
Pose: HISpose – Lightsaber (Groupgift)
Not that I would be that acrobatic in RL – I most probably would break my neck if I ever try to do this. But the meshed Brentwood Stool from Bounce This Poses is definitely all kinds of fun. It comes with 4 sitting, one standing and – well – the balancing pose. The detailing on this stool is wonderful – and if you have a bar in SL and want to have some fun you better jump directly to the Mens Dept. and get yourself one since the Brentwood Stool is copy. Anyways – the poses are extremely well done – no crazy legs, hands or moving heads. Also, and this is important for me since – as you know – my avatar is rather tall, the poses are way easy to adjust. In other words – get it, it is decent, it is fun.
The half hoody from [Sheep Door] is another great find from the Mens Dept. Yeah it is not mesh, but the subtile texturing is brilliant. Also the sculptwork is not too bad. I love how sloppy the jumper “flows”. And finally the Roux Readers from BALACLAVA!!: you do not only get the nerdish glasses in the purchased pack – you get the shades also. And the female versions are also included. There are many colors you can choose from – I decided for todays look to wear the black ones.
List of stuff:
Hair: **Pocket Mirrors** Robert Charcoal (free at Berlin 1920s)
Glasses: BALACLAVA!! Roux Readers and Shades (black) (for Mens Dept.)
Hoodie: [Sheep Door] Half Hoody Grey (for Mens Dept.)
Pants: former huntgift blogged here
Prob: Bounce This Poses – Brentwood Stool (for Mens Dept.)
today is the Big Day … Culture Shock 2012 finally opens its doors for public (at 4PM SLT) . And all the goodies Nestor and I have shown you before are finally available! And sweets, there are so many awesome items waiting for you, that I had to clone myself for todays blogpost to show more than one.
The pose and prob I’m using in this blogpost is available at the venue. Let’s start with the items. This great prob is from Sparrow Tree Studios and called Platforms. In each of the three Platforms are different poses. You can control them by menu.
The dresses I’m wearing are from justB, 22769 ~ casual couture and PM Purple Moon Creations (left to right). The items from justB and 22769 are rigged mesh. Even if they are in different sizes included, I recommend that you try a demo for fitting before purchase.
The Jude Boots I’m wearing are from Ingenue. Yes, it’s always the same pair, but you’ll find them displayed at the event in different colors. And as with so much stuff in the credits, I’ll better start them now. All the credits start at the left outfit.
See you at Culture Shock Sweets .. and remember, you shop for Doctors without Borders. So no need for guilty conscience after shopping !
