I do love hunts in SL. And to be honest – not neccessarily for the gifts but to find new shops and places I have never heard about. And of course: if the gifts I gain through the treasure hunt are good you definitely will not hear me complaining. The Swimming Pool Blues Hunt is a hunt that fulfills both expectations – to introduce me to new shops and places and also some neat gifts. The theme of this hunt is blue – swimmingpool blue to be precise. Every gift has to have all shades of blue you can find in a swimming pool. Very Edward Hopper. Oh and I should add that every gift is 5L$ what is not too much if you look at the quality of the creations.
But lets start with this neat little mansion from L&K Prefabs: it is extremely lovely made and the texturing is brilliant. Of course not everything in the “Ma Petite Mansion” is blue – you also find white walls in it and the lovely seagrass graphic. Anyways it is a wonderful little house that works quite good as a boat house or a beach shag. It is also mod – so you can alter it to your needs if you have a little building knowledge.
One thing you can get in this hunt is interior design and furniture – and the gifts are high quality and well thought and dedicated to the theme. The art above me is the gift from UrbanizeD. The art to my right is one of the gifts from BoatHouse. The second one is the plaid rug. The shop BoatHouse was completely new to me and I spent quite some time there. I can tell you – it is lovely. BoatHouse offers many furniture, houses and probs with neat little poses and well scripted. You can find rowboats there also like pontons and many things more – and what I have seen all wonderful made. BoatHouse definitely is one of my personal finds in the hunt.
But let’s continue with the prices: the chair I am sitting on is from [kusshon] – and like every furniture from [kusshon] this also is extremely well done. I had a giggle when I browsed through the animations/poses menue because the animations have the names of movie stars (shown above is Clooney). The couch table is from Baffle and is called “Oceanic End Table”. It is another brilliant gift and shows probably best that the creators have well overthought the theme of the hunt and made something very unique out of it. There are starfish and sand inside and even water that moves. The texturing of the table is just so real that you want to grab in your screen. The gift comes with lamp and without lamp (which is a mastepiece of its own).
The sideboard is the gift from Senzafine and it matches just perfect the overall look and feel of all the hunt gifts you can find in this hunt. A wonderful piece of furniture that gives your virtual home an extra.
Finally the dozen long stemmed roses are not from the hunt, but a find at the Vintage Fair. This great piece of decor comes from Hanaya and is – again – a wonderful add to your decor that brings personality and a special touch in your home.
Following the theme of todays blog entry I rushed over to the Mens Dept. to get me the new Poetic Colors mesh eyes “nightfall (nightsky)”. Like always and like with every eyes PC are doing the texturing is from out of this world. I am so glad that Poetic Colors are back again and that they also work with mesh to even improve their flawless work they did before. And at the Mens Dept. I also got me the denim capri shorts from CheerNo and the blue tee from DROP.

Well today I said it already in the Title, but anyways … Hellos Sweets !
Hope this week has treaten you right so far. We make it to Wednesday, so the weekend is near. Today I want to share some items that you you can find at L’accessoires and at the Vintage Fair 2012. If you are in the mode of shopping today, you have to visit them both. Both events offer you great items from all over the Grid.
Shall we start, with all the Goodies for today? Let’s go !
The great skin I’m wearing today is from Heartsick. It’s the lovley Belle Amie Skin. The Skin comes in Clearvange and Freckles options, dark brows or no brows. You find the Skin in five different Skintones. Each Skintone is just 750L$ available at Vintage Fair 2012. Of course you can try a demo before purchase!
And now let us switch the event for a short time. Have you seen my spectacular hair ribbon today? This great accessorie is from NYU – Minimal High Fashion Couture. At the event you can choose between two different packs for 200L$ each. Each pack contains contains 7 different color options. I picked for my todays look the red polkadot option. And, what can I say: I loved it from the start.
You see, today I’m really adorable dressed. And yes, I was in a hurry. From L’accessoires Venue back to The Vintage Fair, and direct to the wonderful booth from Orquidea! There I found this classic Cocktail Dress in different colors to choose from. For 150L$, you can pick your favorite out of the 6 displayed one. This dress is decent textured and the flow of the prim parts of the skirt is absolut awesome.
The poses I have used for my todays blogpost are also available at the Vintage Fair 2012. The Pin Up Poses are available for just 30L$ (in total you can choose between 8 of them).
Now I have prepared for you the Credits of the items I used today. Hope you all have a great day!

There are some things you definitely expect at the Vintage Fair – like clothing from the 50s, 60s or 70s, furniture from these times, and many other neat stuff also. There are a few things you might not expect at the fair and the Bryant Suit from A:S:S is one of these things. You can debate if this is really vintage or if it is rather historical clothing. But fact is “vintage” means “from a certain decade” – and with this definition the suit and the tricorn (there are 4 different in the package – shown here is the light teal one) matches the fair perfectly. The suit has neat little details in the texturing. And there are a lot of layers in the package – so you can give your outfit a unique look.
It is no secret that I fell in love with the Dreamscenes from Garden Of Dreams. They just make the perfect set for fotoshootings and yet they are so much more. The one I took the pictures in is called “The Dining Room” and it is like if you enter with one mouseclick a medieval lounge with dinner table, separees and of course a fireplace. Want to have your own “Game Of Thrones” Skybox? Want to feel like a Tudor? The Dining Room fulfills all that expectations. The seats on the table come with many poses, the separees have couple poses and of course you can turn the fire on and off. It is a brilliant skybox to have a themed party or to live within. Like all creations of Garden Of Dreams it is special and definitely something to impress. Also: The Dining Room is mod – so you can alter the skybox to your needs and you can not ask for more… All in all the skybox is 295 prims – but it is furnished and if you want to give it your personal touch you can erase of course the large table and put a bed inside. This is, next to the excellent texturing and the love for detail the biggest asset of Garden Of Dreams: the creations are multi funktional.
List of stuff:
Hair: *SH* Kai Hair(black)
Prefab: Garden of Dreams – The Dining Room
This great Odessa gown is so full of details, that I would just let speak the next images for themself:
First I want to put your attention on the detailed hat (yes, it is included in the purchase), next to the clothing and the hat you find a Monocle included. The Monocle is not included in the pictures.
Oh, and have I already mentioned my great hairstyle in todays blogpost? It is also an Vintage Fair 2012 exclusive item from Adoness. And I have to say the Octavia Hair (I’m wearing the black version) matches perfectly to the overall appearance of the dress. The hair is offered for 180L$ per colorpack. In total there are four different colorpacks available at the Vintage Fair 2012.
Before I let you check the credits I want to drag your attention on the very detailed collar of this classical dress.
That’s all for today my sweets, hope to read you on the weekend.
Items used in this blogpost:
Coincidences in secondlife never fail to amaze me. I think everyone knows by now that the Vintage Fair is up and running and vintage – or retro style – is the big hype on the grid. Nevertheless: the Mens Dept. is a sales event that is not dedicated to past lifestyles. But if you look close enough you find items there that simply fit in every kind of era. The old TV chair set from [kusshon] is one of these items. You can choose between 4 colors and the chair itself has 10 poses in typical TV lounging style. The couch table and a splendid amount of probs (beer cans, cheeseburger, slice of pizza, ashtray, cigarettes) is also included in the set. What I like most about the probs from [kusshon] is the fact that you can share these probs with your friends since they are mostly trans. So if you are looking for typical boy furniture – the Mens Dept. should be your first stop!
Floorplan have this chest of drawers at the Mens Dept. And here the fun starts: You can change the color of the drawers by mouseklick and I guess every designer would give you the options “yellows”, “blues and reds”…etc. Not floorplan – here you can choose between the colorstyles “chewie”, “artoo”, “threepio”, “darth” and “dagobah”. Shown above are left threepio and right artoo. The mesh tee is the item from DROP and I especially like that it is not overtextured so you can fit it to every kind of look you are going for. DROP have 6 different colors at the Mens Dept – so you definitely will find a suitable one for you. The cropped pants with the badges are also mesh and come from [LOVE RE ME] – and even if they are the item for the Mens Dept there is also the female version included. And finally the skin is – again – from NIVARO and is the special release for the current Mens Dept. round.
Finally I can close the circle by coming back to the Vintage Fair again. The skybox I took the pictures in is the exclusive release from %Percent. The 70s retro skybox has the dimensions 7.5 m to 20 m and 5.5 m height (approx.) and only 24 prims after set up. And it has these neat 70s styled patterns on the wall and also on the carpet. Also it has a lot of windows and a small balcony – so enough room for you to make your ideas real. Also the skybox comes copy and mod – that means that you can, with a little bit of building knowledge – alter the box to your needs like tearing down a wall and rez a second one beneath it to double its size. The skybox contains mesh parts.
List of stuff:
Hair: [COLORS] – 57 Ash Black
Chest of drawers: floorplan – chest of drawers / warsies (for the Mens Dept.)
